The SPEED Act aims to cut red tape in order to meet soaring energy demand and growing competition in the global AI race, according to the bill’s sponsors.

The centerpiece of the approved plan is the new Midtown Bus Terminal. 

With a total cash purchase price of $3.3 billion, WSP claims the deal will position it as the largest engineering and design firm in the U.S. by revenue.

Crews officially began the first phase of construction on the Oracle, OpenAI and Vantage Data Centers facility and expect to complete the project, dubbed Lighthouse, in 2028.

The Tennessee-based builder will perform work in California, Arizona and Texas for the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection.
